Baz Luhrmann’s first film is all tinsel and outrageous ballroom dresses. When Liz Holt decides to change partners for the Pan Pacific Ballroom Championship, Scott needs to find a new partner. Only the gawky Fran is available. Can they really master the passo-doble? Will the shrinking violet become a gorgeous rose and will love bloom? Will Tina Sparkle ruin everything? With his usual flamboyance Luhrmann keeps you smiling from beginning to end.

For those of you who are new to Film and Food, the screening will be preceded by a three-course meal prepared as usual by Karen and Dave McCormack. Tickets are £25 and can be bought from the desk on cinema nights.
